Classes with Imam Bilal

Classes with Imam Bilal are held with remote attendance, recorded in video and audio on Zoom. We ask that those attending remain muted and with their video off. Kevin Mogg is present with Imam Bilal during the class, sharing comments that are sent in via chat when Bilal asks for them. All of the classes are rich in Quranic quotations and tafsir. Bilal writes many Arabic words and phrases on a whiteboard, with the transliteration in English. Photos of the whiteboard are usually included with the recordings. These videos have only minimal editing. They vary in length from about 2 hours to over 3 hours.

When you purchase a recording you receive the .zip file including the video, audio, and photos of the whiteboard. You will need to unzip the folder: right-click to select Extract All, and then follow the instructions. Then you will be able to view the video, you can refer to the photos if it is difficult to read what Bilal wrote on the whiteboard during the class, or you can listen to the audio if that is your preference.

We are contemplating making written transcripts, but none have been completed yet. Prices vary on the recordings Bilal has agreed to sell publicly, older classes for $30, classes in the current year for $50 (which is the requested donation at the time of the class). Limited scholarship funds are available for those eager to attend or view recordings (email support@nuraniinstitute.org). Please do not share or post these recordings.
